A bit about me

Hello, I’m Sarah Felstead and I’m the face behind A House Less Ordinary. 

I've loved creating beautiful spaces for as long as I can remember and for years have saved hundreds of images of rooms, nooks, hallways, porches (you name it) I hoped to one day reinterpret. However there's only so many rooms in my own home and only so many times you can change things up!

In 2021 I chose to move away from a career as a Creative Director for a large Global organisation to follow my passion for creating beautiful spaces. Prior to this I graduated with a degree in Surface Pattern & Textile design and I've since completed a Diploma in Interior Design.

I class myself as multifaceted. I’m an Interior Designer, Art Director, Stylist and Curator with a background in colour, trends, pattern & textiles. 

I love reading about the history of Architecture and Design as much as leaning into new trends, this balance helps bring out the style of a property or feature aswell as hide the areas you're just not sure about or would rather weren't there!

My previous experience includes briefing and sourcing from print makers & illustrators to product development, travel and procurement from around the World.
